Vrindavan, 2019.05.28 (VT): In the wake of the resounding victory by the BJP, Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti visited Vrindavan temples including Banke Bihari and Prem Mandir.
Sadhvi has been the Minister of State for Food Processing Industries and representative of the Fatehpur constituency in the Lok Sabha since November 2014.
In Banke Bihari temple, she was presented with gifts including garlands, prasadi cloth and a picture of Bihariji. In Prem Mandir, the publicity manager guided her around the temple and she worshipped Sita-Ram on the first floor.
After worshipping in Bihariji temple, Sadhvi spoke to media saying that the BJP got huge a huge majority in the country due to the development works of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. She said that more work needs to be done to stamp out corruption completely and live up to the responsibility that people have placed on Modi’s government.
Before her entrance into politics, Sadhvi used to give Katha. She survived an attempt on her life in 2014 when someone shot at her.
Born on 1st March, 1967 in a farmer’s family at village Patyora (Malihatala), District Hamirpur, Uttar Pradesh (UP). Due to having a social and spiritual nature since childhood, at the age of only 14, she went to the ashram of Bramhalin Pujya Gurudev Swami Achyutanand ji Maharaj. She got initiated and propagated religion around the country under Pujya Yugpurush Mahamandaleshwar Swami Parmanand Giri ji Maharaj. After becoming a Sannyasin, while following the path of her spiritual journey, she got a formal education up to 12th standard and became active in social life.
