Vrindavan, August 25th, 2014: Showcasing the religious fervor on the occasion of the Shravan, a 12.5 million Parthiv Shiva lingas preparation yajna began in Vrindavan. People from different parts of the country assembled in Vrindavan on the Jaipur Mandir campus to prepare 1.8 million Parthiv Shiva lingas, i.e., Shiva lingas made out of clay, every day for a week. Black clay was brought from Amba in Madhya Pradesh specially for that purpose.
The Parthiv Shiva linga consecration ceremony is being organized under the guidance of Saint Pandit Dev Prabhakar Shashtri (Dadda ji). Dadda ji is a disciple of Swami Karpatriji Maharaj.
According to Shri Uttam Singh Thakur, a member of the organizing committee of the event, this programme of ceremonial dedication of Parthiv Shiva lingas will be organized from 25th July to 31st July. He further informed that this consecration ceremony is the 94th in the series of 108 pledged yajnas. This Yajna is organized for the second time in Vrindavan. A special ritual for the Navagrahas will also be performed.

As per the programme the Shiva lingas will be prepared between 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. After the preparation and worshipping of the Shiva lingas, they will be immersed in Yamuna every day. The fire ceremony ritual (havan) will begin from 10 am. Rudrabhishek will begin from 1 p.m. The discourse (pravachan) will begin from 8 p.m. Purnahuti (the final day of the yajna) will be on 31st July.
