Union Minister (Human Resource Development) Prakash Javadekar, MP Hema Malini, UP Power Minister Shrikant Sharma, Culture Minister Ch. Lakshminarayan, MLA Puran Prakash, Shyamsundar Sharma, and Anupama Jaiswal, Minister of State (Independent Charge); Basic Education, Child Development and Nutrition, will also be present for the occasion.

Established in 2000, The Akshaya Patra Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation with its headquarters in Bengaluru. It is the world’s largest (not-for-profit run) Mid-Day Meal Program serving wholesome food every school day to over 1.76 million children from 14,702 schools (government and government-aided) across 12 states in India through its 40 kitchens.

On February 11, the Foundation is celebrating its ‘3 billionth (300 crore) meal’. Around 8000 children and parents from 108 villages have been invited for the program at Vrindavan Akshay Patra situated on Chatikara Road. They will be joined by 2000 party workers, MLAs and MPs.

PM Modi will reach the venue by 11.30 am, and is expected to stay for 1.5-2 hrs during which time he will address the gathering, have lunch with the kids, and talk to children at Akshay Patra’s other centres through teleconferencing.

The district administration has been on high alert for the upcoming visit. Four helipads, one each for PM Modi and Yogi Adityanath and 2 for the SPG, (Special Protection Group) have been constructed.

Security arrangements are being made under the supervision of nodal officer SP (city) Shravan Kumar. The SPG will be deployed at the venue from February 9.  D.S Rawat AIG (SPG) surveyed the location on Monday along with DM Sarvagya Ram Mishra and SSP Satyarth Aniruddh Pankaj.
